BENTONVILLE


BENTONVILLE. Ville du nord-ouest de l’Arkansas, aux États-Unis d’Amérique. Victoire du général Sherman sur les Confédérés du général Joseph Eggleston Johnston le 21 mars 1865, durant la guerre de Sécession. Participèrent notamment à cette bataille, dans les rangs des Confédérés, les généraux Toutant de Beauregard, Bragg et William Joseph Hardee.
